The other thing to keep in mind is that if you aren’t weight training, you’ll probably lose some muscle too. That’s not good  muscle helps keep your metabolism burning strong. You burn more calories when you have more muscle. In fact, lean muscle mass burns 5x as many calories. So as you lose weight and some muscle with it, your metabolism slows down. To prevent this and keep your metabolism getting stronger instead of slowing down, you need to add strength training to your routine.
